Sam Barker

Sam is Managing Director for the Fixed Income group. He leads High Yield coverage for Energy, Metals, and Mining sectors, as well as involvement across distressed debt opportunities at the firm. Sam brings over fifteen years of experience in credit markets. Before joining Amzak in 2013, he was previously with ECM Asset Management in London, a Wells Fargo manager that was a pioneer in the European credit markets. Prior to this, Sam worked with GE, across a number of regions and roles, including GE’s intensive management development program and internal audit group (CAS). Sam holds a Bachelor’s in Information Systems, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, from The University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a CFA charter holder.
